the last days podcast series

Podcast 15 will continue our study in The Last Days by discussing the Final Anti-Christ, Satan’s evil counterfeit. Scripture references will include 2 Thessalonians, Daniel, Revelations, and Ezekiel. God’s word is clear about this world ruler who will come as a counterfeit god.

In this podcast, we will discuss how the Mahdi, the 12th Imam, is going to be Satan’s evil counterfeit in the world. The false prophet will lead many astray to worship this evil man. You may be surprised at the relationship between the two, and how they deceive the world.

The Final Antichrist

The final antichrist is known by those in the realm of Christian belief as Satan’s evil counterfeit. Let me clearly state that there are many antichrists who have come before and live today. This figure that is being discussed by Paul is the final antichrist. So who is this final antichrist?

First, let me begin by stating that believers will not see this man. We will be taken out of this world before the final antichrist enters the scene. Let me begin by giving you some background on another religion known as Islam.

The Muslim religion has two different books which they use in their structure of belief. The Quran and the Sunni, also known as the hadith. The reason that I bring this up is going to be important for the understanding which will be given in this podcast episode. To fully understand the point being made I needed to give a little background.

Let me first begin, by stating this is interpretation and speculation. I’m sure there are many Biblical scholars both secular and spiritual who would argue the point I am making. I do not want an argument. The faith fact is clear that The Bible clearly states of a final antichrist. One who will fit the mold of someone prophesied about in the Islamic faith.

Satan’s Evil Counterfeit

Second, let us dive into how Muslims feel about Jesus. They believe Jesus lived, and they believe he did not die. He was ushered away into heaven much like Elijah where he sits with Allah today. Since Jesus did not die, he did not provide a sacrifice and therefore is not the atonement for our sins. He also was not resurrected, therefore Christians’ hope in him as atonement, and life-giver is false to the Islamic faith.

Islamic faith teachers teach that this false version of Jesus will return from Heaven to partner with the Mahdi or the 12th Imam. He will defeat the returning Jesus we accept as savior, more on that later, and then will marry, have children, die, and be buried with Muhammad. This of course is a false prophecy and we will discuss this in the next podcast on the False Prophet.

So what does all of this have to do with the final antichrist? Let me enter preface my last conversation about the Mahdi, the 12th Imam. Before I do let me give you some scriptural references.

the final antichrist: satan's evil counterfeit

Revelation 13:1 states, “I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw, a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns. And upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” Know this first, that I believe The Bible to be the true word of God. Any other religion is false. Therefore, the Islamic faith is a false faith, from the false god, known as Satan.

Is the Mahdi the Final Antichrist?

The prophetic writings of the Mahdi, the 12th Imam, is a counterfeit prophecy of the true last day prophecies. Let us now look back to what this counterfeit writing teaches. The Islamic faith teaches that Mahdi will come to slaughter all that do not convert to Islam. His Army will go nation to nation to punish all those who do not follow the Islamic faith and Sharia law.

This is the Islamic Savior. His army will march under the banner of a black flag, with the word “punishment” written in white. He will slaughter all Jews, and establish his kingdom on the temple mount. Is this starting to sound familiar? Let me continue.

“And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

Revelation 6:2

According to the last day prophecy in Islam, the Mahdi will bring rain, crops, and wealth. He will make a peace agreement with the Jews and the “West” for 7 years. He will ride a white horse carrying a sword to kill the infidels. Now, let’s look at Revelations 6:2. “And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

I know that now you are putting the puzzle pieces together. Let me continue on to what is taught in the Islamic last-day prophecy. The Mahdi, or possibly the final antichrist, will discover “hidden scriptures” around the sea of Galilee that will teach Jews and Christians they are wrong. He will then be worshipped by the Islamic jesus and will battle with this false version of jesus, and Jesus returning to say he is God’s son.

As I stated earlier, any prophecy that is not in The Bible is a counterfeit prophecy. Satan has deceived many in this faith to believe in a false Jesus, and a false teacher, known as the Imam that will be the final antichrist in our world. Let us look at an Old Testament reference in Ezekiel 38:2

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

Daniel 7:25

“Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him..” Ezekiel 38:2. The antichrist is identified as Gog in the land of Magog. Daniel chapter 7 and 8, he is identified as the little horn. Daniel 7:25 states, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

The Final Antichrist in the Last Days

This last antichrist will dominate the world. This is not a great peace bringer or truth-teller. The last antichrist will be against Jesus as spoken by Daniel, “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.”

Daniel 11 tells us that he will forsake his inherited religion, which makes reference to the 12th Imam that will find “new scriptures” to establish himself as a god on Earth. Daniel states that at the return of the Lord Jesus, the antichrist will be destroyed. Next let us look at the relationship between the false prophet, and the Last Days.
