God gives instructions
We will learn in the days of Noah part 4 that God gives clear instructions to Noah on how mankind is instructed to live on this earth. It is important to see that the first thing that Noah does when he and his family leave the ark is to build an altar to God and make a sacrifice.
Genesis 8:13 shows us the timeframe and what took place as Noah and his family decide to leave the ark. The Bible states in Genesis 8:13 “And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.”
“And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.”
Genesis 8:13
Noah walked with God before the flood and now he is thanking him for salvation from the worldwide flood. The Bible is also clear how God felt about the sacrifice that Noah made. Genesis tells us in 8:21 “And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake;”
The Days of Noah Part 4: God’s Rules
Genesis 8:22 states “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” So if you are worried about “climate change” or Global Warming, stop. God made a promise that He is in control of the Earth, and all the functions of the Earth. And if that offended you, wait there is more.
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
Genesis 8:22
God gives us one of the most amazing signs as a promise that he will never flood the world again, a rainbow. In the days of Noah part 4, I will also discuss how God gave the promise of a beautiful sign in the clouds known as a rainbow.
God gives a Rainbow
The days of Noah changed our world forever. God gave the sign of his Rainbow in the sky for future generations. I do think it is awesome that the quote given in Genesis is “my bow.” God names and claims the rainbow as his own. No matter what group in the world may claim this beautiful sign, it belongs to our creator.
“And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”
Genesis 9:12-13
Believers it is important that we always teach the true meaning of the rainbow that God gave us. It is his bow, and we should be sure to teach future generations what that bow stands for.
