Knowing Truth, the First Defense for Strong Christians
Strong Christians need to be awakened. In the New Testament, Jesus said: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. Let us begin with this statement.
If you consider yourself a Christian, you must adhere to Biblical teachings. We do not have every word that Jesus spoke, but we know a good bit of what he taught on truth. Many in today’s Biblical teaching cultures, and the secular world for that matter, want us to think Jesus was a radical wokester, and this is further from the truth.
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus | John 14:6
Jesus did call out many of the religious leaders of that day. Like many leaders today, they became very unhappy with this. What Jesus did was not radically change the Old Testament law, and he called out the hypocrisy of those who were bending the law to fit their culture. We see examples of this in both the religious and secular realms. Politicians tell you to triple mask your kids while they go without masks at parties.
Religious leaders will at times preach from the pulpit that you can have prosperity if you think it when this is Biblically not true. Pontificating ministers will expound on how all people will one day go to heaven when the Bible is clear that Hell is a reality for anyone who doesn’t accept Christ as God and Savior. What does this have to do with strong Christians need to be awakened, not woke?
Why Not Conform and become Woke?
Ecclesiastes 1:9 states, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Let us first understand that the destructive sin in society is not new. Floods, fire, famine, and many other judgments took place due to the disobedience of God and his law. Through His prophets, warnings would take place from God, but society always wanted to take the sin-filled path. Today’s woke culture is much the same.
As I stated earlier, Woke is defined as being aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues. That sounds good, but remember how our adversary Satan works. The gospel of love that Christ gave us is sweet as honey. Satan, the counterfeit, tries to drive any culture to believe they are eating honey, but it is poison. If we paid attention to important facts and issues, we as believers would be yelling the consequences of sin on the rooftops.
Once you try to do that today, big tech companies, corporations, or social groups will try their best to cancel you. I am not talking about politics; I am talking about the truth that prevents you from going to Hell. Let me be as clear as I possibly can. If you do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the World, you will go to Hell. Pretending Hell doesn’t exist doesn’t change the truth. Teaching Jesus is a way will not change the truth. There is no exception to this rule.
However, if you proclaim this today in most circles, the woke crowd will cancel you. For this reason, I titled the episode Strong Christians need to be awakened. The awakening comes from knowing that our adversary will do anything to shut down the message of Jesus. You will be called racist, islamophobic, or someone who proclaims hate speech.
It’s Love Speech, Not Hate Speech
Since we are on the woke crowd’s topic using the term hate speech. To lie to someone is hate speech. Teaching truth is nothing but love speech. Christians, listen up! Trying to prevent those on their way to Hell from going is not hate speech. Quite the contrary, it is nothing but love speech. Remember the parable Jesus taught about the lost sheep.
Luke 15:4-7 states, “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”
“And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.”
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
Heaven rejoices when we return one sinner that repenteth. Repentance cannot take place unless someone recognizes that sin has taken place. So what is sin? Is there right and wrong in society? Help awaken the sinner to truth, not become woke as they may be.
Awakening in Truth, Not Woke to Sin
1 John 5:17 states, “All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.” Paul expounded further to give details about the effects of sin on our lives in Romans. Romans 7:13,
“Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.”
Christian, if that is not good enough for you, look to what Jesus said. John 8:34 states, “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” Living in sin makes you the servant of sin, an enslaved person, just to be blunt. When any Christian falls into the woke trap, they will water down the gospel of Christ. They may tell folks that they can find their own way to heaven.
This hate speech lie drives people’s souls to Hell. A place that was created for Satan and his angels. Strong Christians need to be awakened to keep from sending those we love to Hell just to be woke. The world will tell you that “important facts” and social justice should teach us to accept anyone. This, again, is not love speech, and it is hate speech straight from Satan.
One Example of Today’s Woke Movement
Today, a growing trend in our society is the whole issue over pronouns and genders. This has become one of the ridiculous arguments that an educated society can delve into. To be so educated, we have become foolish. One might even say having our conscience seared with a hot iron. This movement is nothing but a lie from the pit of Hell. Let me explain.
Biblically, God created them male and female. If you proclaim this today, the woke crowd will scream and scowl and call you every name in the book. I want to remind you that their chanting and canceling does not change the truth. But let us say that you do not have wish to accept Biblical truth. You think the Bible is just an old book written by some men.
Here is the bad news for you. Science teaches the same as Biblical principal. So which are you as a woke person, a Bible denier, or a Science denier. According to a study conducted by The University of Pittsburg, “about 85% of transgender adolescents reported, “seriously considering suicide.” Why would we consider something good for our children and teens when it drives them to an 85% chance they would take their own life. Sounds like a sin to me.
Not to mention those who have had reassignment surgery have a 20 times greater chance of suicide. Again, this is a lie from the pit of Hell. Being a woke Christian will make you accept any gender or pronoun anyone dreams up. Being a Strong Christian who is Awakened will tell them the truth. God made you, male or female. Jesus died for your sin. And the only way to escape Hell is to accept Jesus as savior and break the shackles of sin.
Strong Christians need to be Awakened, not Woke.
My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, this is your alarm bell. Stop worrying about being woke, and conforming to the world. Be strong in Christ and the truth of His word. Flee evil, harness what is good. Stand for God’s Word, and that will be a love speech to a lost world. If you go woke, you may send those you love straight to Hell.
