The Absolute Attributes of God – Forgiveness

How many times have you messed up in your life? I would say that those times for me are more than I can count. While grace is not a license to sin, Psalm 86:5 states, “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” We are all guilty of sin, and God provides the forgiveness we need for the sins we commit.

As we grow in our Christian walk, we understand more how that we need a forgiving Savior. One important point is to not want to be a holder of the grace of God. As we discussed in Jonah Part 2, it is important to want to see forgiveness for others when they repent. Jonah did not want to give any grace towards those he had animosity with.

The Attributes of God and Jonah

Jonah had to learn the lesson the hard way on how to be bold in faith, and also in being proud for others when they find God’s grace. If you are a dedicated listener to the podcast, or new, keep this in mind. When you think you are unworthy keep this in mind. Isaiah 64:6 states, we are an unclean thing.
